Moxi is a non-ablative fractional laser that works in the upper layers of skin. It doesn’t remove tissue, so there is no raw healing phase — just a day or two of tiny bronze dots that flake away to reveal brighter, more even skin.
At Serene Med Spa in Hudson, Moxi is our go-to for patients in their twenties to forties who want to keep skin looking fresh, for sun damage and melasma-prone tone, and for anyone who can’t take the downtime of CO² resurfacing. The treatment takes about 30 minutes after numbing and feels like warm prickling. Skin looks lightly sunburned that evening, develops fine “MENDs” (micro-dots) the next day, and flakes smooth over two to five days — makeup can go on the following morning. Results build over a series of three treatments spaced a month apart; a single session before an event gives a noticeable glow. Because Moxi’s wavelength targets water rather than pigment, it is safe for darker skin tones and can be done in summer. Each treatment is $500, and Moxi pairs beautifully with a BBL photofacial in the same visit for redness and brown spots.
