Dr. Robin Arora is board certified in internal medicine and in nephrology and hypertension, with more than sixteen years in practice. He serves as supervising physician for Serene Med Spa and treats patients at both the Hudson, Ohio and Barboursville, West Virginia locations.

Training and Background

Dr. Robin Arora earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Bronx VA Medical Center in New York, followed by a nephrology fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Alongside his medical training, he is certified in Aesthetic Medicine and is a Biote Certified Provider for hormone optimization. He holds Medical Review Officer certification through the American Association of Medical Review Officers, and earned his MBA from George Washington University.

He continues to practice nephrology today, seeing patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Aesthetics is an addition to that work rather than a departure from it, and the clinical judgment carries across.

Nephrology is a specialty built on the things aesthetic medicine quietly depends on: pharmacology, fluid and vascular physiology, and patients whose other conditions change what is safe to do. Kidney patients are rarely straightforward — they arrive with hypertension, diabetes, long medication lists, and narrow margins for error.

Sixteen years of that work leaves a particular habit of mind. Before a treatment is planned, the questions are the internal medicine questions: what is this patient already taking, what is their blood pressure actually doing, what has changed since the last visit, and does a procedure that suits most people suit this one. Aesthetic medicine is still medicine, and the screening that happens before a needle comes out matters more than anything that happens after.

Every treatment protocol at Serene Med Spa is reviewed by a physician before it reaches a patient.

That structure is the practical difference between a physician-led practice and a spa with a physician's name attached to it. Complications in aesthetic medicine are uncommon, but they are managed best by people trained to recognize them early — and that training has to sit inside the practice, not on call somewhere else.
